Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi organized a two-day Baisakhi Utsav on April 13 and 14, 2025, to celebrate the occasion of Baisakhi. It was on Baisakhi day, April 13, 1699, that Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded the Khalsa Panth.

On the second day of the celebration, April 14, a program of Punjabi folk dance was organized. The event began with a performance of Gatka, followed by a Folk Orchestra. Then, one after another, traditional dances like Jindua, Wadi Dance, Giddha, Bhangra, and other folk dances of Punjab were presented.

These Punjabi folk dance and music performances were presented by the Universal Art and Culture Welfare Society, Mohali, under the direction of Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Neena.

On this occasion, several distinguished guests and artists were present, including Sudesh Sharma (Chairman, Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi), Vikrant Seth (Vice Chairman), Rajesh Atrey (Secretary), Sarangi player Vinod Pawar, Ghazal singer R.D. Kaile, renowned folk dance maestro Balkar Sidhu, Mohali Councilor Satveer Singh Dhanoa, and Robin Batra.
