A two-day Baisakhi festival was organized by the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi to mark the occasion of Baisakhi. This day holds special significance as, along with the harvest festival, it also commemorates the creation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji on 13th April.

On the first day, i.e., 13th April, a Dhaadi-Sarangi performance was held, in which the group led by Garja Singh from Manakpur Sharif presented compositions like Bandna, Saka, Datara Chand, and Jode Di Kali, depicting tales of valor and history.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi Sudesh Sharma, Vice Chairman Vikrant, Secretary Rajesh, Vinod Pawar, Rahul Mahajan, and several distinguished artists and performers from the city were present.
